Praying 4 units (rak’ah) with one tasleem…. besides the nawafil of Isha
عن عبد الله قال
مَنْ صَلَّى أَرْبَعًا بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ لاَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُنَّ بِتَسْلِيمٍ عُدِلْنَ بِمِثْلِهِنَّ مِنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ
From Abdullaah, that he said: “Whoever prays 4 after Isha -without breaking between them by a tasleem- : they are equal to 4 rak’ah prayed during Laylatul Qadr.”

The 3 afflictions which daily affect every human being:
Everyday and every night, the children of Aadam are affected by the 3 afflictions. Not a day goes by except that they are afflicted by all the 3 of them.
THE FIRST AFFLICTION:
His lifespan is reduced everyday. He does not care much about his lifespan being reduced, but if there is any reduction in his wealth, he starts worrying. What he forgets is that wealth is recoverable but not the lifespan.
THE SECOND AFFLICTION:
Everyday he consumes the sustenance provided to him by Allaah. If it is Halaal, he will be questioned about it [Surah al-Takaathur (102): 8]. But if it is through Haraam means, then he will be punished for it; and no one knows the extent of the punishment except Allaah.
THE THIRD AFFLICTION:
Everyday he is nearing the Aakhirah by some distance; while at the same time he is being distanced from this worldly life by some distance. But his concern for the EVERLASTING HEREAFTER is nothing as compared to his concern for this FLEETING WORLD. He does not know if his abode will be the highest station in Paradise or the lowest depths of Hell.
اللهم لا تجعل الدنيا أكبر همنا، ولا مبلغ علمنا ، ولا إلى النار مصيرنا ، واجعل الجنة هي دارنا
O Allaah! Do not make this world our greatest concern, nor the limit of our knowledge. And do not set our path leading towards Hell. And make Paradise our final abode.
Every Righteous Deed has 3 Pillars and 2 Conditions.

الأدب المفرد للبخاري » بَابُ : الدُّعَاءِ عِنْدَ الاسْتِخَارَةِ
جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ ، مَسْجِدِ الْفَتْحِ ، يَوْمَ الاثْنَيْنِ وَيَوْمَ الثُّلاثَاءِ وَيَوْمَ الأَرْبِعَاءِ ، فَاسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ بَيْنَ الصَّلاتَيْنِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الأَرْبِعَاءِ ،
قَالَ جَابِرٌ : وَلَمْ يَنْزِلْ بِي أَمْرٌ مُهِمٌّ غائِظٌ إِلا تَوَخَّيْتُ تِلْكَ السَّاعَةَ ، فَدَعَوْتُ اللَّهَ فِيهِ بَيْنَ الصَّلاتَيْنِ يَوْمَ الأَرْبِعَاءِ فِي تِلْكَ السَّاعَةِ ، إِلا عَرَفْتُ الإِجَابَةَ
“Jabir Ibn ‘Abdullah (may Allaah be pleased with him ) said, “ The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated to Allaah in this masjid (Masjid Al-Fath) on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. His dua was answered on Wednesday between the prayers of Zuhr and Asr.
Jabir (may Allaah be pleased with him) said,” There wasn’t anything that was crucially important for me to have solved, except I called on Allaah during that hour of the day between Zuhr and Asr knowing He would answer.”
singling out Friday for fasting, or singling out the night of Friday for doing acts of worship is forbidden
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do not single out the night of Friday for qiyaam al-layl, and do not single out the day of Friday for fasting, unless that is part of the habitual fasting of any one of you.”
(Narrated by Muslim, 1144).
So, along with these virtues and acts of worship, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade singling out Friday for fasting, or singling out the night of Friday for doing acts of worship that are not narrated in sharee’ah.
There are many acts of worship which are prescribed for the Muslim to do on this day. These include:
1 – Salaat al-Jumu’ah (Friday prayer)
2 – Making a lot of du’aa’.
3 – Reading Soorat al-Kahf.
4 – Sending a lot of blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

There are saheeh ahaadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) concerning the virtues of reciting Soorat al-Kahf during the day or night of Jumu’ah (Friday). These include:
(a) From Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri, who said: “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”
(Narrated by al-Daarimi, 3407)
(b) “Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.”
(Narrated by al-Haakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249)
(c) It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”
(al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb, 1/298)
The soorah may be read during the night or the day of Jumu’ah. The night of Jumu’ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu’ah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this soorah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.
It was narrated that Abu Lubaabah ibn ‘Abd al-Mundhir said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Friday is the master of days, and the greatest of them before Allaah. It is greater before Allaah than the day of al-Adha and the day of al-Fitr. It has five characteristics: on this day Allaah created Adam, on it He sent Adam down to the earth, on it Allaah caused Adam to die, on it there is a time when a person does not ask Allaah for anything but He gives it to him, so long as he does not ask for anything haraam, and on it the Hour will begin. There is no angel who is close to Allaah, no heaven, no earth, no wind, no mountain and no sea that does not fear Friday.”
